Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these "makers" to show hobbies, experiments, projects.
We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth - a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness.
Glimpse the future and get inspired!
Do you avoid calling yourself creative? Does your busy schedule keep you from playing? Do you not even know where to begin even if you had the time? Do you want to create and be curious like when you were a little kid? Join Kait Walsh as she helps you find the creative child inside all of us. Using her self-published book I'm Going to Climb That Mountain you will be guided through open-ended activities that allow for a little hand holding and a whole lot of exploring. You are guaranteed to leave ready to add more creative playtime to all aspects of your life.
Please enroll by 10/8 to ensure your spot in the workshop!
Bring your family and friends for an afternoon of creating something together. Explore the supplies and art prompt that will be available in our “outdoor studio” on the RT Rogers patio. Our creation will be on display after it is assembled for you and others to enjoy :)
The Garage is an ongoing project founded by Kait Walsh and Maggie Harrington. The one car garage is located on Silverlake Blvd. The space is open to artists and makers to share and sell their goods. The project came out of a desire for artist opportunities to share works and get paid!
After teaching kindergarten for almost a decade, Kait Walsh now creates art & stories for kids and kids at heart. She is the author and illustrator of two self-published children's book and is a community art enthusiast.
Kelsey Walsh is a certified integrated health coach, mama and founder of Cre. Her passion lies in finding simple easy ways to implement healthy habits in your life to create lasting change.
Join the sisters September 8th as they share their interests and talents with the community! The hour will kick off with a reading of Kait's children's book I'm Going to Climb That Mountain, followed by a no-bake snack activity led by Kelsey and a community art project for all. No better way to celebrate the mountains than by sharing and creating at the foot of the Flatirons!
All ages welcome and parents are encouraged to stay and participate or bring a comfy blanket and a book to relax with nearby.
